It’s hard to believe that Julien Kelland is only 18 years old when you hear her sing. She has been impressing audiences all over Ontario since her sold out EP release show in March 2013 and opened for CCMA winner Doc Walker to rave reviews six months later. Julien has also opened for the Legendary Spoons and the Canadian Country duo and CCMA winner Small Town Pistols in 2015. Visit Julien’s tour page to see where she will be performing next!
Playing current and classic pop songs with originals and hauntingly beautiful ballads in between, this Alternative Pop singer is making huge strides toward her goals in the music industry. Julien found her love for music at a very young age. She started singing around the same time she started talking and has been performing ever since a surprise wedding performance at the age of six. Her Dad helped to spawn a love for artists like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and other timeless rock and pop from the past. Julien is influenced by current artists such as Halsey, Banks, Tove Lo, The Weeknd, and Adele.
Julien’s recent collaborations with Italian DJ and Producer Danny Darko have brought demand for song writing and vocal collaborations through Vocals & Acapellas Services – an artist and music promotion service and blog. Their collaboration ‘Hurricane’ made it to the 11th spot on the EDM charts! A Hurricane remix contest was launched through Remix Comps and netted out 997 submissions of this song with Julien’s stellar vocals. Julien studies voice through the Royal Conservatory of Music and was born to be a star. Music is in her family bloodline, which she shares with the late Canadian Glenn Gould, one of the most celebrated classical pianists of the 20th century, and Edvard Hagerup Grieg, who is widely considered one of the leading composers of the Romantic Era of classical music. Julien has big dreams for her music!
